Current status
Sadly, I understand now, that due to recent events I will be unable to make it to FWA. I had been looking forward to it, and honestly, I do need a con right about now... however.
About 2-3 weeks ago my job at the Chinese buffet decided that they were going to add me to the list of folks to get rid of with the holiday help.
I honestly don't mind that, except they played dirty, if you are going to let me go, fine but have the balls to tell me, don;t drag it out on whether I have a job / not have a job for 2-3 weeks whenI could be searching for another place of employment.
Sadly, the job market is not all it could be, and I simply do not havew the funds available to go.
Add this witht the fact I have been mostly bedridden the past few days because of a nasty , and I do mean nasty strain of the flu.. and well, there it is.
I'm sorry to those who wanted to see me, and I'm sorry to the folks I was going to room with, but even if I got emplyment tomorrow, I wouldn;t have a check before the con, it simply can't be done.
To those who have tried to contact me the last few days, you now know the reason why I didn't answer the phone.
Ok even typing like this is rather exhausting to me in my current state, so everyone be well and happy. :) Enjoy FWA for me. :)
Also.. Happy Year of the Rat in a few days!

If you decide to go out to eat at a restaurant willing to be open on Christmas...

People are working when they could be spending a day off, with their families or what have you.
To tip as you would, or worse is a fucking slap in the face of your server, we have bills to pay people. Bills that REQUIRE us to actually WORK on Christmas serving you.
It's the season of giving, that doesn't just apply to people you're eating with...

Attention All Superheroes!
As many of you know, I am going to be auditioning for season three of "Who wants to be a Superhero" season three when dates for such are announced. If you didn;t know, now ya do.
However, a fellow hero and friend, Omnicron, aka Mindset as he was called in the show needs support for a cause that strikes very close to my heart.
I am hoping that many of you will open your hearts and wallets to him, every little bit helps!
He and his friend Fauntleroy will be walking in the Walk for the Animals charity event and they are trying to get as many funds as possible.

For many of you, my love of the 7th guest and it's sequel The 11th hour is something many of you have pry heard me yap about for hours on end.
For classic gamers, you know how good those games were, and for newer types, you really don't know what you missed.
I have been saying for years that they need to remake them, reissue them for XP/Vista.
Sadly, this is not the case, however upon looking on a few fan forums yesterday, I found out...

I have not been ABLE to get hours for almost a month now.
As much as the benefit of working from home, being my own boss etc is.. Not being able to help Taha sucks. Really sucks. I need to help support him, this house and West has fucked me over for the last time.

The best bad day ever.`
Ever had one of those days where being sick just dulled any good things that happened during that day.
Today was that day for me.
For the past few days I've been dealing with either horrific allergies or some kind of summer flubug. So waking up and hoping to go to my DnD game I am soon to realize that ain't happening, because I'm feeling ill and my friends Khin and NEssa have a kid, I do not wanna be spreading this if it *IS* contagious.
So H'okay.
Taha-schmoopie decides to be a doll and take me to Blue Coast Burrito so I can get some food in me, and I eat food and am happy. On the way back he mentions wanting to go to hastings. Now, when I'm sick, I don't like going out PERIOD, I would rather relax and rest and all that good stuff. But I'm also thinking I could get book two in the Dresden files, and since I'm going to be resting in bed etc, might as well get a good book for it.
Then I saw it.
It was a Wii.. a fucking Wii on the shelf..
I have never EVER Seen one on the shelf, To my knowledge you still have to preorder and pray when they come in your number is up for pickup. But there it was, and I mentioned it to Taha.
... and he bought it.
Well now I'm a bit happy because we have a Wii, but I also think back to my DnD game, hoping they do not think I did not go due to Wii, this is not so. So... I am prepared to hook up Wii and relax and watch Taha play and play a bit myself and get better...
Then I mention Wii play, that has another controller + game.
Now I was hoping to rest and relax.. and now I'm oing to Wal-mart, and not feeling so good about this, but hey, game + remote is good, no? I also pick up cherry coke, as it makes tick-tocks like me run.
So, two trips and I'm ready to rest in front of my computer, which my beloved wonderful pookywoosnugglebuttTahafwumpfwump is using. I do not mind, he has bought Wii and suchnot.
...
Then it is time for us to take back movies and rent more....
Back to the car I go.
Well.. it is now 12:28 AM, and I can finally relax, and rest.. it was a wonderful excellent day, and it was a shame I was sick to appreciate it, argh.
BTW, I did get that book, I'll tell ya all what I thought of it when I'm done.
and to the DnD'ers... I did most sincerely want to play today, I had some spiffy ideas to try out, I feel like a schmuck because I was running wither-hither and not there. But if this is catching, Gabriel should not be exposed.
